Fendi Caffè Roma: an installation within the historic Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana
Un allestimento site-specific di artigianato di alta gamma
For the Fendi Caffè in Rome, located within the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, Controprogetto took part in the high-end joinery production of bespoke installations, while remaining faithful to Controprogetto’s distinctive stylistic and conceptual approach, which makes use of wood and other reclaimed materials.
The architectural project is defined by a strong material presence, with the use of different materials—wood, resin, and concrete—crafted by hand to create continuous, balanced surfaces coherent with the language of the site. The work on materials, finishes, and proportions allowed the intervention to be seamlessly integrated into a highly characterized overall project. A project that demonstrates how craftsmanship and attention to detail can find their place even in contexts of high representation and on an international scale.
