Barilla Restaurant, New York: a wooden cladding that becomes a landscape
Materia e immaginario in un intervento site-specific
For the Barilla Restaurant in New York, Controprogetto developed a site-specific intervention focused on the creation of a reclaimed-wood cladding conceived as a defining element of the space.
Using a mosaic technique and carefully selected recycled woods, the design of a wheat field was reconstructed—a direct reference to the brand’s imagery. Textures, tones, and varying orientations transform the surface into a three-dimensional, vibrant element, able to interact with light and to convey, through material, an idea of transformation and memory.
