Cascina Nascosta: “green” furniture for a space open to the city
A setup featuring reclaimed materialsfor a space of conviviality and sustainability
Cascina Nascosta is a Milan-based project that blends tradition and modernity, conceived as a place for conviviality, slow time, and social interaction. Located within Parco Sempione, this historic farmhouse has been transformed into a hybrid space dedicated to environmental sustainability, social engagement, and the promotion of recycling, reuse, and regeneration practices. Controprogetto was involved in the design and production of bespoke furniture, with the aim of shaping an installation that is functional, comfortable, and in dialogue with the identity and values of the place.
The bar counter, shelves, worktops, and other furnishing elements were made using reclaimed wood and other recovered materials, including marble, carefully selected and reworked to create tactile, living surfaces. The material itself—with its marks and grain—becomes a narrative element within the space, combining functionality, sustainability, and a strong visual identity.

The interior spaces of Cascina Nascosta were also furnished with bespoke solutions, designed to meet everyday operational needs while maintaining aesthetic and material coherence with the overall project.
